Ice Fishing

Last year in December Nathan and I went ice fishing at Petrolea Reservoir. It is about an hour and a half north of Billings. This pike measured 34" long and weighed approximately 12 lbs.

I was pretty excited. I think that Nathan was surprized that I put it back and didn't keep it. I guess that is the fly fisherman in me comming out. It was kind of cold. Below zero and a little windy.

Bill's Yukon Moose

A few pictures of Bill's Moose he got in the Yukon. He goes up in the Yukon about every year on a hunting trip.

Look at the size of the horns. The horns are hanging up in his garage. The lower horns have some tape on them as they are at eye level and could poke your eye out if your not careful.

Nice deer

This was a nice buck that I have had my eye on for some time. The photo below shows a bull that was shot near the pond at the B&B ranch. We setup a trail camera to photograph whatever visit the dead bull. This deer came and sniffed at the carcass.

Bill and I found this bull lying near the pond. It was shot and left by someone. It was probably shot off Bill's property and came here and died. Nice bull too bad it was left. It is tough to draw a bull tag in this area. Someone was probably dissapointed that they could not find it.

Wolf

This is a great photo. We caught this wolf in mid action. We were at Bear World in Idaho. This wolf walked right in front of us and ....

Bobcat Pictures - Lavina Ranch

The trail camera at the Lavina ranch picked up these Bobcats. This picture is likely the mother. Bill had seen the smaller, younger cats with their mother some time before.

Dave's Bull Taken on the B&B

A good look at the right side. It almost seems that it is comming straight out of it's forehead.

Ahh... the smell.

The first attempt to pull the bull up the hill and up to the cabin.

They eventually drove down the coolie and straight to the cabin. Luckly I had already headed back to Billings before the hard work started.
